Privacy Policy

ZUTT & PARTNER AG takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We therefore want to inform users of our website about the data we store and how they are used. This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the ZUTT & PARTNER AG website. Servers and websites accessible via external links may have a different privacy policy. Data privacy regulations obligate us to handle the data of our website users in a proper and purpose-related manner. We are not permitted to use your data for any other purposes or for purposes not permitted by law. We would like to inform you in the following about the data we collect and how these data are processed or used:

Collecting, storing and using data
We need some information from you in order process your newsletter subscription, respond to your enquiries or receive your orders for presentations and studies. Your data will be used exclusively for the stated purposes. We collect and process your data to handle the enquiry you send us, to maintain ongoing customer relations and to send you information about the latest insights gained from studies. We retain the services of external providers for certain technical aspects of data processing. These external providers are obligated to process data exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions and to protect the confidentiality of your data.

Logging
Every time a user accesses a page of the ZUTT & PARTNER AG website and whenever a file is requested, the corresponding data is stored in a log file. The log file will contain the following details with the following content depending on the access protocol used:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Name of the requested file
  • Date and time of the request
  • Access method/functions requested by the requesting computer
  • Access status of the web server (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.)
  • URL from which the file was requested / the requested function was initiated
  • Operating system and browser type or browser settings

We are not able to link the IP address to any other personal data we may have on file. Stored data are used exclusively for the purpose of identifying and tracing unauthorised attempts to access the web server and for statistical evaluations such as visitor numbers and website popularity. Evaluations will be carried out exclusively by personnel authorised by us.

Log file information is stored for a maximum duration of seven days for security reasons (e.g. to clarify cases of misuse or fraud) and then deleted. Data that need to be retained as evidence are excluded from deletion until the case in question is resolved.

Use of cookies
We use so-called cookies when you visit our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. We use both “permanent cookies” and “session cookies” to offer you the best possible service.
The data stored in permanent cookies are used to make your visits to our website as comfortable and convenient as possible beyond your current visit and will only be used for this purpose. If you do not want to allow the use of permanent cookies, you can deactivate the use of permanent cookies in your browser (please refer to the help function in your browser’s menu bar for details). The data stored in session cookies are valid only for your current visit to our website and enable you to use the full functionality of our services and to ensure your current visit is as comfortable and convenient as possible.
If you do not want to allow the use of session cookies, you can deactivate the use of session cookies in your browser (please refer to the help function in your browser’s menu bar for details). We are unable to guarantee the full and unlimited use of all of our services if session cookies are deactivated.

Secure data transfer
Personal data that you provide to us via forms, a newsletter subscription or contact request are transferred to us in an encrypted format via a secure connection. The security method applied (SSL – Secure Sockets Layer) corresponds with the current technological status.
Every employee of ZUTT & PARTNER AG who has access to personal data is obligated to comply with data protection legislation. Access to the system occurs via an authorisation system. SSL encryption (recognisable by https:// at the beginning of the address line in the browser) is a protocol for encrypting data when it is transferred from the web server to the browser. This transfer method is especially secure. The personal data transferred from your computer to our SSL server is encrypted via the SSL protocol during transfer.

Liability for links
ZUTT & PARTNER AG herewith expressly declares that the linked pages did not contain any recognisably illegal content at the time the links were set. ZUTT & PARTNER AG has absolutely no influence on the current and future design, content or authorship of linked websites. The company therefore expressly distances itself from all content of linked websites that was changed after the links were set. This ruling applies to all links and references set within our proprietary website offering. The provider of the offered page, not the referring party, is solely liable for illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and, in particular, for damages arising from the use or non-use of information proffered in this way.

Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), for the needs-based design of web offerings. ZUTT & PARTNER AG only receives evaluations from Google that are without personal references.
Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. IP anonymisation is activated on this website. This means that Google will truncate the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to and truncated by Google servers in the USA. Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator for the purpose of evaluating the users’ use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing associated services to the website operator with regard to website and internet usage. Google may transfer the information to others insofar as it is legally required to do so or if others process the data on behalf of Google. Google will not in any case associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. The personal data of users will be deleted after 26 months. This period will not be extended by any further user activity occurring in the same time period. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software. However, if you do so please note that you will not be able to use all of the functions of this website. By using this website, you declare your consent to Google processing the data collected about you in the method and for the purpose described in the preceding.
Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and using data (cookies and IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Further information about Google Analytics’ terms of use and privacy policy can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html  and under http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html. If you should not be able to use the plug-in on your smartphone, for example, you can still prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link to deactivate Google Analytics. This will install an opt-out cookie that will in future prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website.

Google AdWords Conversion-Tracking
his website uses the online advertising programme “Google AdWords” and, in conjunction with Google AdWords, also the conversion tracking service. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an advertisement set by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification purposes. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie is still valid, both we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the advertisement and was transferred to this web page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers.
The information collected by the cookie serves to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have decided to use conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who have clicked on their adverts and were transferred to another website with a conversion tracking tag. They do not, however, receive any information that would allow the identification of an individual user. Users who do not wish to participate in tracking can easily block its use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via the user settings of their internet browser. These users will no longer be included in conversion tracking statistics. Find out more about Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads.

Newsletter
We will be delighted to keep you up to date about current topics and neuro-marketing insights through the ZUTT & PARTNER AG newsletter and/or the GlobalEmotionsForum newsletter. We will only use your email address to send you a newsletter if you grant us your consent on our website. If you no longer wish to receive any newsletters in the future, you can tell us by clicking on the link contained in every message we send you or by sending an email to zutt(at)zutt.ch.

Data deletion
Personal data stored by us will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for their intended purpose and there are no legal retention obligations contrary to deletion. Insofar as user data are not deleted because they are required for other or legally permissible purposes, the processing of such data shall be limited. This means that the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes. This applies, for instance, to user data that needs to be retained for trade or tax reasons.

User rights

Users have a right on request to receive free of charge information about their personal data stored by us.
Additionally, users have the right to have incorrect data rectified, to have the processing of their data restricted and also to have their personal data deleted and, where applicable, a right to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe their personal data was not processed in accordance with legislation.
Furthermore, users can withdraw any consent granted, but only with effect for the future.
Users can also at any time object to the future processing of their personal data in accordance with statutory requirements. This objection can be made in particular with regard to the purposes of direct advertising.

Changes to the data protection declaration

We reserve the right to change the data protection declaration in order to adapt it to changes in legislation or to changes affecting the service or data processing. However, this applies exclusively to declarations concerning data processing. If the consent of users is required or if components of the data protection declaration contain regulations concerning the contractual relationship with users, then such changes will only be made with the users’ consent. Users are requested to routinely review the content of this privacy policy
